Tecno Megabook T1: You Should Be Choosing This Instead, DepEd

The Tecno Megabook T1 packs a punch with surprising specs for a really decent price, maybe the peeps from DepEd should replace their overpriced Dell Latitude 3420 for this?

It’s the very first laptop from Tecno, if you haven’t caught up to the news by then– Tecno is known for smartphones such as the Camon and Pova series which has competitive specs with a price that will surely bring a smile to your face (honestly, not ironically.) Now, the king of affordability themselves expanded their reach and finally released a gadget for the laptop users out there.

Presenting the Tecno Megabook T1, from first glance — it has a slim body (at only 14.88 mm) with an ultra-light aluminum frame, upon closer inspection, there’s an eye catching IBM-esque embossed logo to it that feels retro and modern at the same time.

Discussing its specs, it boasts a decent 10th Gen Intel Core processor, available in either 512GB or 1TB, it has a slew of ports including a microSD reader which is really essential and eliminates the need for extender accessories or dongles. The main RAM is available up to 16GB, a big 70Wh battery, and an innovative 65W GaN charger.

In the camera department, a lowly 2MP camera sits atop its 15.6 inch LCD display. There’s also a backlit on its built-in keyboard (noice), DTS audio tuning that compliments a new feature called Tecno Lab. And you can even use your fingerprint to unlock your laptop embedded on the power button.

It is available in Space Grey, Rome Mint, Monet Violet, and Champagne Gold — pretty great colorways, bringing more pop and variety versus the typical laptop colors. But wait a tick, the Space Grey color, comes in a unique two-tone design.
