TECNO’s highly anticipated foldable smartphones, the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2, have taken a significant step closer to reality. In a recent leak from SpillSomeBeans, real-world images of these devices have been revealed for the first time.
The Phantom V Flip 2 showcases a notable upgrade with a significantly larger cover display compared to its predecessor’s circular panel. While the bezels on the outer screen are difficult to assess, the inner display appears to have symmetrical bezels and a punch-hole cutout for selfies. A sticker on the back confirms dual-SIM support, 256GB of internal storage, and the AE11 model number, previously linked to the Dimensity 8050 chipset on Geekbench.
The Phantom V Fold 2, identified by the model number AE10, has also been listed on Geekbench with a Dimensity 9000+ chipset. This foldable boasts punch-hole cutouts on both the cover and inner screens for selfie cameras. The rear camera module houses three lenses, including a telephoto lens, and the engraving confirms a 50MP main sensor.
While specific details about the phones’ specifications are limited, the report suggests that the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 could be available for purchase in Ghana starting September 8. According to a previous report, the Phantom V Flip 2 is expected to be priced at GHS 9,800 (~PHP35,040.48*) for the 8+256GB variant, while the Phantom V Fold 2 is anticipated to cost GHS 16,550 (~PHP59,175.51*) for the 12+512GB model.
