The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2 is launching soon because the alleged foldable smartphone has surfaced once again on three websites where key specs were unveiled.
The latest resurface of the TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2 is on the Google Play Console, TUV, and EEC. All three signify the upcoming rollout of this budget-friendly foldable device.
According to reports, the Google Play Console showed a device with the model number AE10. But written at the top of the listing is the “TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2 5G.”
The listing noted it with 12 GB of RAM and a MediaTek processor, specifically the “MediaTek MT6983Z/TCZA,” which isn’t known yet. But if compared to the previous appearance of the TECNO AE10 on Geekbench, the chipset might be the Dimensity 9000+.
That’s a bit disappointing if true because it’s the same processor powering the first TECNO PHANTOM V Fold. Anyway, here’s the noted CPU architecture from the listings:
Cluster | MT6983Z/TCZA | Dimensity 9000 Plus |
First | 1 x 3.2 GHz Cortex X2 | 1 x 3.2 GHz Cortex X2 |
Second | 3 x 2.85 GHz Cortex A710 | 3 x 2.85 GHz Cortex A710 |
Third | 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex A510 | 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex A510 |
Meanwhile, the graphics is the Mali-G710 clocked at 955 MHz. Other key specs include Android 14, 2000 x 2296 display pixels, and 480 DPI. These display details are similar to the predecessor.
The TUV appearance suggested the device has a dual-battery setup of 2,973 mAh and 2,637 mAh for a total of 5,610 mAh, a clear upgrade on the TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2. While its EEC appearance indicates possible release in the European market.
We’ll know more once TECNO officially announces the PHANTOM V Fold2.
