TECNO SPARK 30 Pro: 5 Reasons Why It’s a Great (or Not-So-Great) Buy

Here are the five reasons why the TECNO SPARK 30 Pro is a great buy, and the not-so-great ones.

From the base model, the TECNO SPARK 30 Pro takes a big leap in terms of design, display, and camera. But is the 8K SRP convincing?

Let’s start with the MediaTek Helio G100 4G processor. Although the handset is limited to 4G, it supports LTE-Advanced that raises mobile data transfer speeds using 4.5G.

The TECNO SPARK 30 Pro may allure OLED lovers, thanks to its 6.78-inch 1080p 120Hz AMOLED panel. MOBA and FPS game titles are playable with striking visuals, paired with stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Dolby Atmos for non-stop entertainment.

Speaking of non-stop entertainment, the device can endure long hours of use with the 5,000mAh battery. Recharging won’t take too much time because of the 33W fast charging.

Unlike the base model, the TECNO SPARK 30 Pro has its rear camera island placed on the left side with the unique stripe from top to bottom. The main camera is a 108MP sensor paired with a quad-LED flash, while the 13MP selfie shooter has a dual-LED flash.

Multitasking and app switching should be smooth in most cases with the 8GB RAM. The 256GB ROM can store lots of apps and games. If you need more space, you can expand it via a microSD card.

Reasons Why It’s a Great Buy

  • Five-year performance fluency.
  • AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, high refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and DCI-P3 color gamut.
  • Battery health of more than 1,000 charge cycles.
  • Under-display fingerprint and AI features
  • Optimus Prime Edition (TRANSFORMERS)

Not-So-Great Reasons

  • Average processor with 443,377 AnTuTu points.
  • Alongside an average CPU, the Mali-G57 GPU limits playability of some games.
  • Lower IP than the base model (IP54).
  • No display protection.
  • Only available in two color variants.

The TECNO SPARK 30 Pro is an excellent choice for the 8K SRP, capable of handling moderately demanding tasks. Even its camera and those multi-LED flash setup are hard to find in the market.

But if you’re still looking for alternatives, here are some with a 7K to 8K SRP:

  • itel P55 5G: MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (5G), 6+128GB memory, 5000mAh, 18W charging.
  • Infinix HOT 50 Pro+: MediaTek Helio G100 (4G), 8+256GB memory, 5000mAh, 33W charging.
  • Redmi 13: MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra (4G), 8+256GB memory, 5030mAh, 33W charging.
  • Redmi Note 13: Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 (4G), 6/8GB+128/256GB, 5000mAh, 33W charging.
  • CHERRY Aqua S11 Pro: MediaTek Helio G99 (4G), 8+256GB memory, 5000mAh, 33W charging.
