TECNO Spark Go 5G: A Massive 6,000mAh Battery and 120Hz Display for ₱6,500

TECNO has just unveiled its latest contender in India: the Spark Go 5G. This isn’t just another cheap smartphone; it’s a device that’s punching way above its weight with a combination of a massive battery, a slick display, and a surprisingly capable processor. It’s a clear statement that you can get a lot of phone for not a lot of money.

Power and Performance That Punch Above Their Weight

The biggest headline here is the chipset. The Spark Go 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400, a processor that promises to deliver snappy performance for everyday tasks and even some light gaming. Paired with 4GB of RAM (and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM), the phone promises up to five years of lag-free performance, according to TECNO. This is a bold claim, but if it holds up, it could make the Spark Go 5G one of the most future-proof budget devices on the market.

Of course, a powerful phone is useless without a powerful battery. TECNO has packed a colossal 6,000mAh battery into the Spark Go 5G, which should easily get you through a full day of heavy use and then some. And when it’s time to top up, the 18W fast charging ensures you won’t be tethered to a wall socket for long.

A Display and Design That Don’t Look “Budget”

Despite its entry-level price, the Spark Go 5G doesn’t compromise on its looks. It boasts a large 6.74-inch IPS LCD with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a feature you’d typically find on more expensive phones. The display also features TECNO’s “Dynamic Port,” a clever notification system inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, which adds a touch of premium flair.

At just 7.99mm thin and weighing 194 grams, TECNO is claiming this to be India’s slimmest and lightest 5G smartphone in its segment. This makes it comfortable to hold and easy to carry, a refreshing change from the bulky budget phones of the past. The phone also comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, so you don’t have to worry about a sudden rain shower or an accidental spill.

Capturing Memories with an AI-Powered Lens

For photography, the Spark Go 5G sports a 50MP AI-powered main camera on the back, capable of recording 2K video. While the 5MP front-facing camera for selfies is a bit modest, the main camera should be more than sufficient for social media-ready photos. The integration of AI hints at some smart software tricks to enhance your shots, which could be a significant selling point.

TECNO has also gone a step further by including some unique software features. The phone comes with the Ella AI assistant, which supports multiple Indian languages. It also offers a “No Network Communication” mode, a feature that allows for essential communication even without a cellular signal.

The Price Tag That Will Get Your Attention

Priced at just INR 9,999 (approximately ₱6,500), the TECNO Spark Go 5G offers incredible value. Taking it a compelling package for anyone in the market for an affordable 5G smartphone that doesn’t feel cheap. With its powerful processor, massive battery, and premium features like a 120Hz display and IP64 rating, it’s clear that TECNO is aiming to deliver a lot of bang for your buck.

The TECNO Spark Go 5G is priced at around ₱6,500. Does this price make you more likely to consider buying it?
