TECNO has just added a new phone to its Slim family called the TECNO CAMON Slim. While it looks a bit like the POVA Slim and SPARK Slim, this new device is much more stylish and brings its own unique features.
The standout feature of the CAMON Slim is its body. It has a super-thin 6.39mm curved unibody design, making it incredibly sleek to hold.
TECNO is offering the phone in five beautiful designs, including:
- New Mondrian: Features a special photochromic back. When sunlight or ultraviolet (UV) light hits it, the phone changes color to show blocks of yellow, green, and cyan.
- Prism Black & Jungle Green: These versions come with a cool 3D crystal diamond pattern.
- Van Gogh Blue: This version displays the famous Starry Night painting on a smooth matte texture.
- Burgundy Red: This version mixes glass fiber with a smooth matte texture. It creates a premium look that balances red and brown tones with a very soft feel in the hand.
Even though it is very thin, it is also highly durable. The phone comes with both IP68 and IP69 ratings, giving it top-tier protection against heavy dust and deep water.
On the front, the CAMON Slim features a big 6.78-inch display with a sharp 1224 x 2720 resolution and a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate.
Inside, it runs on the MediaTek Helio G200 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. Buyers can choose between 128GB or 256GB of storage. Impressively, despite its thin 6.39mm body, TECNO managed to fit a large 5,600mAh battery inside that supports fast 60W charging.
For photography, TECNO went with a simple but capable setup. There is only one real camera on the back; a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor (1/2-inch size). For selfies, it has a 32MP front camera.
Right between the camera lenses on the back, TECNO added a clever LED mini panel. This panel contains 354 small LEDs and is pre-programmed with 55 unique lighting scenes to show different animations for notifications and alerts.
TECNO will release the CAMON Slim across different international markets soon, and local pricing will be announced during each launch.
