The first official look at the OnePlus Pad

On February 7, OnePlus is supposed to announce the OnePlus 11 smartphone in other countries, but it appears that the company will also unveil its first tablet at the same time. A new banner image on the US event teaser page shows the future phone and earphones resting on a sizable tablet.

There is a large, circular camera bulge visible in the official photos that resembles the one on the OnePlus 11. Even though there is only one camera lens and an LED light visible when you zoom in, tablets don’t really need cameras. Also, it’s quite green. The tablet’s sides are visible in the other image, and they look to be made of flat aluminum. Even the side of the tablet has a large, flat oval, which is often the location of a side fingerprint sensor.

However, there is more to see than just the teaser pictures from OnePlus. While OnLeaks (aka Steve Hemmerstoffer) has a solid track record, we don’t even need to speculate in this case because the teaser from OnePlus has already established that these images are accurate. Just before OnePlus posted the official teaser, OnLeaks (aka Steve Hemmerstoffer) and MySmartPrice released renders. A metal unibody chassis and an 11.6-inch display are expected, according to the story that comes with it.

In other countries, the parent company of OnePlus, Oppo, began a tablet line last year and will introduce the “Oppo Pad” and “Oppo Pad Air” in 2022. An 11-inch, 2560 x 1600, 120 Hz LCD, a Snapdragon 870 SoC, 6GB of RAM, an 8360 mAh battery, 33 W charging, and pen input are features of the more expensive Oppo Pad. It costs roughly $340 to buy. The likelihood is high that the OnePlus Pad will resemble the iPad.
