The new iTel Pad 1 is so affordable, it’s almost criminal!

Considering the price, specs, and features, the new iTel Pad 1 is a steal! This first tablet from iTel is just available in India for now but might reach other countries soon

You know a product will last a long time when this device comes with a metal body that is rarely to be found in most budget-friendly devices. Most entry-level tablets usually have an all-plastic build.

The display is 10.1 inches in size, which is large enough to watch movies or let your kid enjoy drawing doodles all day.

That massive display is backed up by 1280 x 800 pixels resolution to enhance bright colors and great contrast. The also has a Unisoc SC9863A1 chip which you would expect to find in mid-range devices.

While it may not offer the same level of performance as high-end SoCs, such as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon or Apple’s A-series chips, it is still capable of handling basic tasks such as web browsing, video streaming, and light gaming.

Just for the records, the quality of a camera does not solely depend on the megapixel count, as there are other factors that contribute to image quality.

Examples are the sensor size, aperture, and image processing algorithms. The tablet has an 8MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear-facing camera which are acceptable for entry-level to mid-range smartphones.

They should be able to capture decent-quality images in well-lit conditions but may struggle in low-light settings. But we bet that you wouldn’t use this for such purposes.

If you prioritize high-quality photos and videos, it may be worth considering a device with a more advanced camera system.

However, if you simply need a smartphone for basic photography needs, the 8MP front-facing and 5MP rear-facing cameras should suffice.

Other goodies that come with the tablet are Wi-Fi and LTE connection capabilities. It also has a 6000mAh battery and 10W charging are good features for entry-level to mid-range smartphones.

They offer long battery life and reasonable charging speeds at an affordable price point.

The tablet comes with two color choices: Deep Grey and Light Blue. It is priced at ₱4,899.
