There’s a newcomer in the Philippine tech scene, AXZY, a tech company born out of a collaboration between the best Filipino minds and seasoned Chinese manufacturers. But why the name? AXZY isn’t just letters mashed together to create a tech-sounding name, it’s what they aim to cater and unite, Gen Alpha, X, Y, and Z.
And how will they do that you ask? With tech that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg but still manages to perform on par, maybe even better, than more established brands. AXZY aims to do just that with their debut lineup, the AXZY Pad Series—AXZY Pad and AXZY Pad Pro.
Basic but Functional
First, let’s start with the technical details. The AXZY Pad sports an 11-inch FHD display while the Pad Pro ups the ante with a larger 11.97-inch 2K display. AXZY really embodied the “go big or go home” spirit with the Pad series, and we mean that literally.
One aspect that we think some of you might see as a deal breaker is with regards to its peak brightness and display. Both the Pad and Pad Pro’s only deliver up to 350 nits peak brightness. I mean don’t get us wrong, 350 nits is plenty bright for indoor use, maybe even a well-lit indoor environment. However, outdoor use may prove to be a tad bit difficult
But then again, you also need to consider its price point. On a positive note, it supports pressure sensitivity which can be very useful for budding artists or heavy note-takers.
Performance
Both the Pad and Pad Pro pack a UNISOC T606 chip under the hood. While not the fastest chip on the planet, it’s enough to handle day-to-day tasks like online classes, video calls, watching movies, and even light gaming, all without breaking a sweat.
Along with the chipset, there’s 8GB of RAM (4GB physical + 4GB virtual) that keeps the experience smooth even while juggling multiple apps. For storage, the base Pad is equipped with 128GB, while the Pad Pro bumps it up to 256GB. If that still isn’t enough, you have the option to expand it up to 1TB via the microSD slot.
The tablets run on Android 15 which is a huge plus, considering other more established brands still ship their devices with Android 14. And get this, with the AXZY Pad series, you’ll get the full, unadulterated experience with no bloatware and complete access to the Play Store.

The AXZY Pad Series may not win any performance records with its UNISOC T606 chip, but when it’s time to get the job done, the AXZY Pad Series puts up quite the fight. Both tablets come bundled with a free Bluetooth keyboard with a leather case. That’s a huge value-add considering that keyboard cases like this usually retails for 1,000+.
And as an added bonus, both the Pad and Pad Pro supports stylus input, making note-taking, drawing, and editing a breeze. All that combined and you have a mini-laptop setup that beats out the competitors in both price and practicality.
All-Day Grind Ready
When you’re a student or a young adult making it into the professional world, every minute is of the essence. Every minute spent not working can cost you your work and maybe even your career, which is why having a battery that gets you through the day is important.
Thankfully, the AXZY Pad Series both come with a massive 8,800 mAh Li-Po battery, capable of up to 10 hours of screen time and 40 days on idle. What about real-world usage? You can expect a full school/workday on a single charge.
The only qualm that we have with the Pad Series is the included 10W charger, which feels a bit slow, especially in 2025. Well, at least it won’t heat up your battery as much as those fast chargers do. But, if that’s a bit slow for you, the Pad Series does support up to 18W fast charging, granted that you provide the fast charging brick.
Functional, Not Fancy
Let’s keep it real: you’re not buying a tablet for photography. As long as it’s serviceable, we’ll give it a pass. The AXZY Pad packs an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera, while the Pad Pro upgrades the rear to 13MP. If you’re just looking to do video calls or scan documents then it’s plenty sharp, but if you’re looking to do some portrait shots with it, we suggest you temper your expectations.
Final Thoughts
AXZY really embodied the “go big or go home” spirit in their debut tablets. While it may not be the fastest, it certainly is the most useful. With local sensibilities, Google-certification, generous storage options, and practical freebies like a keyboard and leather case, the AXZY Pad Series is not trying to out-flex iPads or Galaxy Tabs… it’s trying to outvalue them.
And you know what? For a first-gen local brand, they’re off to a solid start.
