Leakster Digital Chat Station has been digging up details about the vivo X Flip and the latest report covers all the key components
The vivo X Flip will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor (the same as the X Fold+), 12GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The phone will have a sizable cover display and a dual camera island above it, as depictions have shown.
The cameras will use a 50MP Sony IMX866 main sensor and a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultra-wide sensor. On the interior, there will be an additional camera and a punch hole in the center (resolution unknown). Like prior vivo flagships, the rear cameras will sport the Zeiss branding.
The internal display will have a FHD+ resolution and will be around 6.8″ diagonally with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the aspect ratio will be thinner than the Moto Razr 2022. It might match the 6.8″ 1,080 2,520px (21:9) display on the Oppo Find N2 Flip.
The X Flip will have a 4,400mAh battery that supports 44W rapid charging. Only the Find N2 Flip comes close (with a 4,300mAh and 44W battery) to being larger and speedier than other flip phones. Furthermore, the phone will also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The vivo X Flip is expected to be unveiled in China next month, teasers should begin coming out as early as next week. Hopefully, the announcement will include plans for a global rollout as the flip foldable competition is pretty sparse right now. Moreover, a vivo X Fold 2 (with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) is also expected soon.
