Thin and fanless Lenovo Yoga Slim 7: First Snapdragon X Elite laptop spotted

The first look on the Snapdragon X Elite-powered laptop has finally surfaced!

Ever since Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon X Elite series, we’ve been waiting patiently for the very first recipient. Now, that patience has paid off with the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7.

This alleged first bearer of the Snapdragon X Elite is very thin and has no fans! Based on the images posted by a tipster on X, there are no obvious vents around the laptop with the overall visuals of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 looking stunning.

Specs-wise, nothing much is known, at least as of writing, but the screen spans 14.5 inches. The same images showed the Microsoft Copilot feature which alone indicates at least 16GB  of RAM and 40 TOPS processing power – requirements for an “AI PC.”

The Snapdragon X Elite has hexagon NPU capable of 45 TOPS, so the laptop is definitely qualified. To compare, the AMD Ryzen Pro 8000 series only has 39 TOPS.

That said, the Snapdragon X Elite will let users maximize the AI potential locally instead of running related tasks on the cloud.

Lenovo isn’t the only recipient of this Snapdragon chipset. Samsung is also rumored working on the Galaxy Book4 Edge, allegedly equipped with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. That model is reportedly priced at EUR 1,800 or around 110K in PHP.

The Snapdragon X Elite is a 4-nm processor with 12 Oryon CPU cores, Adreno GPU, and Hexagon NPU designed for very demanding tasks on Windows devices. It’s expected to launch alongside the next Windows version.
