Infinix is really cementing its place in the pantheon of mobile gaming devices, catering to every price point. With hits like the NOTE 50 Pro and the NOTE 50 Pro+ 5G, we thought that it couldn’t get any better than that. But it seems Infinix has one more trick up its sleeves, meet the Infinix GT 30 Pro, an all day 120 FPS system.
Enough pleasantries, let’s dive in and we’ll give you our first impressions.
Unboxing experience
From the moment you lay eyes on the GT 30 Pro’s packaging, you’ll know immediately that this device was meant to play hard. Before you crack open the box, you’ll first be greeted with a sleeve that has the logo of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League or MPL for short. And that’s not just for show, the GT 30 Pro is the MPL’s official tournament phone, which if you’re a fan, says a lot about the device.
Once you get inside the box, you’ll find the following:
- The GT 30 Pro itself
- A USB Type-C cable
- The 45W charging brick
- A frosted phone case that follows the design cue of the phone
- Some documentation, including the quick start guide and a SIM ejector tool
And if you opt for the Gaming Kit, you’ll receive the additional accessories:
- MagCharge Cooler
- MagCase
- A short USB-C cable

Design
Right out the bat, the GT 30 Pro immediately flexes its gaming pedigree with what Infinix calls the “Cyber Mecha Design 2.0.” What makes it even better is the appearance of a customizable RGB LEDs on the back, which for a device of this price point is quite impressive.
Depending on the color you pick, you’ll have the chance to go from lowkey to full-blown gamer. And speaking of color, you’ll have three available colors to choose from: Shadow Ash, Blade White, and Dark Flare.
Performance
Let’s skip a beat for a second and talk about what makes the GT 30 Pro tick. At the center of it all lies a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, paired with up to 12GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. This combo makes up for an unbeatable gaming experience that will keep you hooked for hours.
Speaking of being hooked for hours, what about the battery? The GT 30 Pro comes with a 5500 mAh battery that charges via the included 45W charging brick. It also supports 30W of wireless charging, 10W reverse wired charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.
Display
Of course, it isn’t enough that you’ll feel good while gaming with the GT 30 Pro, you’ll also need to look good. And look good it does, boasting a stunning 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate.
Heck, the display still looks good even when playing outside, thanks to a display that can reach a peak brightness of 4500 nits. It also features a 2304Hz PWM Dimming that protects the eyes from strain or headaches. All of that is wrapped in a Corning Gorilla Glass 7i which ensures that you’ll be protected from accidental falls and bumps.
Gaming features
In the world of competitive mobile gaming devices, every manufacturer strives to stand out, whether it’s putting in raw power or a bigger and brighter screen, everyone is looking for that edge that will make them better than everyone else. Infinix did all of that, and more…
Infinix sought to improve the gaming experience in three substantial ways:
- GT Triggers: Outside of a keyboard and mouse, your next best choice for a better gaming experience is by using a standalone controller, but carrying one defeats the purpose of a phone’s portability. What’s the solution? A built-in shoulder triggers, albeit touch-sensitive ones instead of a button which takes up a lot of space and would make the phone bulkier.
- Audio: Tuned by the audio maestros themselves, Infinix partnered up with renowned audio company JBL to tune the GT 30 Pro’s stereo speakers. Supporting 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res & Hi-Res Wireless audio for that immersive audio experience.
- All-Day 120 FPS System & Gaming Kit: Now this one is optional, but we highly recommend you get it, given that it will drastically change the way you game with your mobile device. There’s an optional (or bundled) gaming kit that features a MagCharge Cooler and MagCase to get every bit of juice from the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate we talked about earlier.
What’s even cooler (get it?) is that the MagCharge cooler not only serves to cool the GT 30 Pro, but also wirelessly charges the device so you can achieve that high 120FPS all day without needing to plug it in.
Camera
Gaming phones in general have set a pretty low bar when it comes to camera performance. But much to our surprise, the GT 30 Pro does put up a respectable performance, making it a better all-around choice.
Inside, the GT 30 Pro comes with a dual camera setup featuring 108 MP wide lens and an 8 MP ultrawide. It can also record video at 4K@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60/120/240fps. Meanwhile, the selfie camera consists of a 13 MP wide lens capable of shooting 4K@30fps.
