When the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro was first launched in Indonesia, we knew we just had to get our hands on it. Now that we have it, we’ll give you our unboxing and first impressions. Let’s get started, shall we?

What’s in the box?
When you first look at the NOTE 50 Pro’s box, you’ll immediately know that this phone means business. I mean… just look at it… the bottom has Ghost from Call of Duty; if that doesn’t scream gaming, I don’t know what will.
Don’t believe us? Check out our unboxing video below.
Inside the box, you’ll find the following:
– The Infinix NOTE 50 Pro itself
– A 90W fast charger
– A USB Type-C cable
– A protective case
– A SIM ejector tool
– A screen protector (that’s a first…)
– Documentation, including an S-VIP Card

It’s definitely refreshing to see a brand including a screen protector in their packaging; no need to make extra purchases just to get your NOTE 50 Pro protected.
First Impressions
Premium feel, all for just under 12k
Immediately, the first thing you’ll notice about the NOTE 50 Pro is its premium build. The aerospace-grade aluminum, along with its metallic frame gives it its premium and modern aesthetic. In fact, the NOTE 50 Pro boasts the distinction of being the first phone in its price range to feature a metal frame.

It’s light but not too light that it makes it seem cheap, and the smooth matte texture makes it a delight to hold. It’s definitely over-engineered for the price point. Even the camera module complements the whole aesthetic, contributing to the high-end look that Infinix is going for.
The Infinix NOTE 50 Pro is available in 4 colors: Titanium Grey, Enchanted Purple, Racing Edition, Shadow Black. The unit that we have here is the Enchanted Purple, quite appropriate if you ask us, the shade of purple really is enchanting.

Display that stands out

At the front, you’ll be greeted with the 6.78-inch Eye-Care AMOLED display that’s immune to wet and greasy fingers. Infinix knocked it out of the park with the NOTE 50 Pro’s display. After all, it’s the main thing that users will look at and interact with, so why skimp on it?
The 1080p display ensures that everything looks sharp, colors are vibrant, and blacks are so deep that you’ll think the phone is off when it isn’t. The cherry on top is the 144Hz refresh rate that gives it its buttery smooth graphics.
Whether it’s fast-paced gaming or doom-scrolling through social media, every swipe and every app launch feels fast and fluid. And with ultra-slim bezels, every content feels immersive.
World-class audio
And it doesn’t stop there; Infinix equipped the NOTE 50 Pro with stereo speakers that support both Hi-Res and Hi-Res wireless audio that’s been tuned by renowned audio equipment company, JBL. Perfect for streaming audio, watching movies, or being immersed in an intense 1v3 situation.
Rock-solid performance
Let’s talk business. Under the hood, the NOTE 50 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Although it goes only as far as 4G, it’s still capable of delivering high-speed data, especially in regions where 5G isn’t fully utilized.
Powering the device is a 5200 mAh battery that supports a whopping 90W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging; that’s unheard of for a device at this price point. Faster charging means more time on the go, and on the battlefield.
And to top it all off, Infinix has imbued the NOTE 50 Pro with actual useful AI features that introduces a host of quality-of-life improvements all with just a tap of a button. Folax, Infinix’s AI assistant enhances the user experience through features like AI-powered summarization, screen inquiry, and real-time translation.
It even extends to the creative realm with such tools as AI eraser and AI Writing assistant. And if you think that’s all, there’s even an AI Privacy Masking feature that protects your precious data when sharing videos or images.
Infinix pulling all the stops
The rear camera module houses two sensors, a 50 MP ultra-clear camera and an 8 MP ultrawide lens for those group shots. Quite a feat considering the price it’s at. As for video, it can shoot up to 1440p at 30fps or 1080p at 240fps. We’re happy to report that despite our short time with the NOTE 50 Pro, early test shots have looked crispy and punchy.

Meanwhile, the 32 MP selfie camera holds its own with more natural-looking results. We’ll definitely dig deeper in our full review that we will publish soon, so stay tuned!
Takeaway

From the unboxing to our first impressions, the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro makes a strong case as a budget gaming contender. The thoughtful package inclusions, premium design, and stellar specs elevate the user experience. It’s clear that the NOTE 50 Pro is gunning to be a disruptor in its segment.
We’re definitely excited to spend more time with it. But, it looks like we don’t have to wait that much longer because the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro will be launching on April 23. And that’s not all, early-bird buyers will have a chance to cop a 1-year Viu subscription when you purchase the NOTE 50 Pro from their official online stores.
For those working with a little less budget, there’s also the base NOTE 50 that has all the essential but a bit toned down to suit the price. And for the ballers out there, there’s the NOTE 50 Pro+ that’s got all the bells and whistles, which you’ll know more on our full review that’s coming soon.
