The Xiaomi 13T aces Apple’s top offerings in so many ways…
The Xiaomi 13T model, to put it simply, is better referred to as a flagship killer, and for a great reason: it aces flagship devices such as the iPhone 14 Pro Max in many aspects.
So let’s welcome the Xiaomi 13T, a phone that you might want to consider purchasing instead of the front-runners. Imagine, you’ll get the same great specs for an unbelievable price point.
Unboxing the beast
Packaging
The phone comes in a thick white box with a Xiaomi branding in a Silver color. On the bottom part of the box is where you get all the details specs of the device. As you go in, you see the phone itself along with a 6A-rated USB-A-to-C cable and a 67W power adapter. Included in the box is also some paper work along with a warrant card, a soft transparent case within the paper compartment, while the phone itself comes with a thin protective film over the screen which also has the general specs of the phone
Meet the flagship killer
When discussing a Xiaomi T model, three things immediately spring to mind: a premium display, a very high-res camera, and blazing fast charging. These also perfectly apply to the brand-new Xiaomi 13T.
The Xiaomi 13T has a sizable screen and a straightforward design, so it looks like any other standard glass smartphone. I must admit it generally feels premium compared to some smartphones its price range. It has a Gorilla Glass 5 screen and is dust and mild splash resistant to IP68 standards.
The phone has two stereo speakers which efficiently distribute sound across the device. The sound can be described as loud and decently clear.
Display
The dynamic refresh rate is 144Hz instead of 120Hz from the 12T. While using it, you can really feel the quickness of the screen as you switch from one App to another. It comes pre-installed with a screen protector right from the box which I think is a good thing and some companies should definitely learn to do as well.
Performance
One of the best non-flagship chipsets available is the Dimensity 8200, and Xiaomi has tweaked it, giving it the name 8200-Ultra. The phone can handle multiple tasks without lagging or overheating. There is a bonus feature when it comes to gaming. The Xiaomi 13T has a side configuration called the GAMETURBO where you can monitor your current games , manage the memory usage and easily free up space or close apps without having to leave the game.
Additionally there is also a feature where you can just click to boost your device performance to avoid lag issues even when the Ultra HD is on. The big 5,000mAh battery and the lightning-quick 67W rapid charging are also great features – albeit a downgrade from the 12T’s 120W rapid charging. And as part of the retail package, the phone does come with a 67W power adaptor.
Camera
The phone’s camera lens is provided by Leica. The Xiaomi 13T has 50 + 50 + 12MP triple camera set-up, along with a 20MP front camera which is pretty powerful, and knowing Xiaomi, the camera software will be great in handling processing.
Conclusion
After this unboxing experience, three things which were the main highlight were: a premium display, a very high-res camera, and blazing fast charging. The Xiaomi 13T is an amazing midrange smartphone which actually has a lot of flagship features thus making it super worth the price
