vivo Launches Y37c with a 90Hz Display and Big Battery for Budget Buyers

vivo just added a new face to its budget lineup in China—the Vivo Y37c. Designed for users who want solid everyday performance without burning a hole in their wallets, the Y37c packs a few nice surprises under its affordable price tag.

Specifications

The Y37c sports a 6.56-inch LCD screen with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. While it’s not a high-end panel, that faster refresh rate should still make scrolling and casual gaming feel much smoother compared to standard budget phones. Plus, it offers up to 570 nits of brightness, which is decent enough for outdoor use.

Running the show is the Unisoc T7225 chipset, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. You also get the option to expand the RAM virtually if needed. It’s not a powerhouse, but for basic tasks like social media, light apps, and video streaming, it should get the job done without much fuss.

Where the Y37c really pulls ahead is battery life. It comes with a 5,500mAh battery that supports 15W charging. Vivo claims this setup will easily power through a full day (or more) on a single charge—a big win for people who don’t want to babysit a charger.

Photography isn’t the focus here, but you still get a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. On the software side, the phone runs Android 14 with OriginOS 4 on top, keeping things fresh and user-friendly.

Other bonus features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust and water resistance, dual SIM 4G support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB-C port, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack (because Vivo knows some of us still love our wired earbuds).

All this is packed into a device that weighs 199 grams and measures 8.19mm thick—not bad for a phone that promises long battery life and everyday durability.

Pricing and Availability

The vivo Y37c is priced at ¥1,199 (roughly $165) for the 6GB + 128GB version and is available now in China in two colors: Dark Green and Titanium. No word yet if it’ll be making its way to global markets—but if it does, it could be a solid option for budget-conscious buyers elsewhere too.

The vivo Y37c keeps things simple, practical, and affordable—the way a good budget phone should.
