vivo has taken the wraps off its vivo S50 series in China, introducing both the standard vivo S50 and the more compact yet powerful vivo S50 Pro Mini. These new phones bring flagship-tier performance, standout imaging, large batteries, and robust displays to the S series, offering choices whether you prefer a larger screen or a pocket-friendly powerhouse. Both models are now available to order in China and will go on sale starting December 19, 2025.

Display and Design

The vivo S50 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, high peak brightness, and advanced PWM dimming for smoother visuals and better eye comfort. The vivo S50 Pro Mini offers a slightly smaller yet still vibrant 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED screen with adaptive refresh rates and HDR support. Both phones deliver sharp, colorful visuals suitable for gaming, streaming, and daily use.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the vivo S50 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fluid performance across apps and multitasking. The S50 Pro Mini steps up to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset—the same flagship-tier silicon found in top phones—combined with equally generous RAM and storage options. Both devices pack a 6,500 mAh battery with 90 W wired fast charging, and the Pro Mini adds 40 W wireless charging and wireless reverse charging for extra convenience.

A 50 MP front camera handles selfies and video chats, while flagship-level optical image stabilization (OIS) helps capture sharper shots in varied conditions.

Color Options

The vivo S50 is offered in Deep Space Black, Inspiration Purple, Confession White, and Yoyo Blue, delivering both bold and subtle style choices. The S50 Pro Mini shares the same palette but focuses on Deep Space Black, Inspiration Purple, and Confession White finishes, catering to users who want standout design in a compact form.
