The vivo S50 Pro Mini just showed up on Geekbench, confirming that vivo is preparing a compact phone with serious flagship specs. The listing reveals a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, an Adreno 829 GPU and 16 GB RAM. It scored 2,778 in single core and 9,344 in multi core tests, which lines it up with the newest wave of premium Android devices.

This leak matches earlier reports claiming that vivo is building a small phone with no compromises. If the scores are accurate, the S50 Pro Mini might be one of the most powerful compact phones coming in 2025.
A Compact Phone With Heavy Hardware
Recent leaks paint a clear picture of what to expect. The phone reportedly uses LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage and a 6.31 inch flat AMOLED display. The size places it firmly in the compact category, similar to the S30 Pro Mini before it.
Battery expectations are even more surprising. The device is rumored to carry a 6,500 mAh battery with 90 W wired charging and 40 W wireless charging. If true, this would be one of the biggest batteries ever placed in a smaller phone.
Other expected features include a periscope telephoto camera, a 50 MP selfie shooter, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, an in screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and dual speakers. These kinds of features are normally reserved for full size flagships.
Strong Push Toward a Mini Flagship
The S50 Pro Mini signals a shift in vivo’s strategy. Instead of treating compact phones as budget friendly variants, the company seems ready to give smaller devices the same treatment as its top models. Performance, battery life and camera hardware all look high end based on current leaks.
This also fits the pattern of vivo’s recent releases. The brand has been experimenting with powerful mini models, and the S50 Pro Mini looks like the most ambitious version yet.
A Few Missing Pieces
Some details still need confirmation. It is unclear whether the Adreno 829 GPU is the final configuration or a placeholder. We also do not have confirmed information about the display’s refresh rate or brightness levels.
Global availability is also unknown. Some reports suggest it might launch outside China under a different name, possibly as the vivo X300 FE.
A Promising Compact Powerhouse
If the leaked specs match the final product, the vivo S50 Pro Mini could become one of the most interesting compact phones next year. A small frame, a big battery, and a next generation chipset create a strong formula for users who want power without the bulk.
It is still unannounced, but the early signs show a device aiming to prove that compact phones can still compete at the highest level.
Does a compact phone still need flagship specs?
