vivo has started teasing its next mid-range release, the vivo T5 Pro, with early details pointing to one clear focus: battery life. The device is confirmed to pack a massive 9,020mAh battery, a significant jump compared to typical smartphones in its class.
The company is also positioning it as the slimmest phone to feature a battery of this size, suggesting the use of newer battery technologies to maintain a relatively thin profile despite the large capacity.
The vivo T5 Pro is expected to launch in India soon, although an exact date has not yet been confirmed. A dedicated microsite has already gone live, indicating that the device will be available through Flipkart.
Beyond battery, vivo has confirmed support for up to 120FPS gaming, hinting at a focus on smoother performance and responsiveness. The phone will also feature a dual rear camera setup housed in a pill-shaped module.
In terms of design, the device places its power button and volume controls on the left side, while the right side remains clean. The bottom houses a USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and speaker grille.
Additional details from leaks suggest the T5 Pro may come with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals compared to its predecessor. The phone is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, delivering improved efficiency and performance for everyday use and gaming.
On the camera side, the device is tipped to feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, focusing more on improved image processing and low-light performance rather than a major resolution jump.
Durability could also be a highlight, with reports pointing to IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Fast charging support is expected as well, with leaks suggesting up to 90W wired charging.
In terms of pricing, the vivo T5 Pro is tipped to land in the ₹30,000 (₱19,551*) to ₹35,000 (₱22,804*) range, positioning it in the competitive upper mid-range segment.
With its unusually large battery, high refresh rate display, and balanced hardware, the vivo T5 Pro appears to be targeting users who prioritize endurance without stepping fully into flagship pricing territory.
