In a post on Weibo, the tipster claimed that vivo is working with a 4.53V single-cell silicon battery that has a rated capacity of 10,000mAh. However, its typical capacity is said to range between 11,000mAh and 12,000mAh, which explains the 12,000mAh figure circulating in reports.
If accurate, this would place vivo ahead of most mainstream smartphones in terms of raw battery size.
The device is reportedly still in the testing phase, meaning it is unlikely to launch in the immediate future. Extensive evaluation would be required before commercialization, especially for a battery this large.
The phone is also not expected to be a flagship model. Instead, it could debut as a mid-range device or potentially under vivo’s iQOO sub-brand, which often experiments with aggressive hardware configurations.
