vivo has quietly unveiled the V70 Lite in the UAE, bringing a modest refresh to its mid-range lineup. While the phone largely sticks to the formula established by its predecessor, it does get an upgraded chipset and retains several features that helped define the V60 Lite.
The biggest change comes under the hood. The vivo V70 Lite is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Turbo, replacing the Dimensity 7360 found in the V60 Lite. The two chips are largely similar, but the newer processor offers a slight performance bump with its ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, compared to 2.5GHz on the older chipset.
The device is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage variants.
Up front, the V70 Lite features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated for up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and houses a 32MP front-facing camera in a punch-hole cutout. An optical in-display fingerprint scanner is also built into the screen.
Around the back, the phone carries a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera.
Battery and charging specifications remain unchanged from its predecessor. The V70 Lite packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging.
On the software side, the device runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box.
The vivo V70 Lite is available in Black and Gold color options. Pricing starts at AED 1,099 (around PHP 16,800*) for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at AED 1,299 (around PHP 19,900*).
While not a major overhaul, the V70 Lite offers a slightly faster chipset while keeping the same AMOLED display, fast charging, large battery, and camera setup that defined the previous generation.
