vivo has officially launched the flagship vivo X300 Ultra in India, marking the debut of the company’s top-tier X Series Ultra model in the country. The smartphone puts a major focus on mobile photography and videography through vivo’s ongoing partnership with ZEISS, combining high-end camera hardware, advanced imaging features, and flagship-level performance.
The X300 Ultra is built around a triple-camera setup covering 14mm, 35mm, and 85mm focal lengths. Each camera uses large-format sensors, dedicated Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and ZEISS optics for consistent image quality across different shooting conditions.
The 14mm ultra-wide camera uses a 50MP Sony LYTIA 818 sensor sized at 1/1.28-inch. It supports 1.95° OIS, CIPA 6.0 stabilization, and 4K video recording at 120fps.
For documentary-style photography and portraits, vivo has equipped the phone with a 200MP Sony LYTIA 901 sensor at 1/1.12-inch size paired with a 35mm lens. It also features CIPA 6.5 stabilization and 12-bit HDR support.
The third camera is an 85mm APO telephoto lens with a 200MP large-format sensor measuring 1/1.4-inch. It supports ZEISS APO standards to reduce chromatic aberration and includes 3° gimbal-like OIS with CIPA 7.0 stabilization for portraits, action shots, and long-range photography.
The camera system also supports a 60fps AF Tracking Snapshot Mode that can maintain autofocus on moving subjects such as wildlife or sports in real time.
On the video side, the X300 Ultra supports Multi-Focal 4K 120fps 10-bit Log Video, Dolby Vision recording, 4K slow-motion at 120fps, and 4K time-lapse capture. vivo has also added a new Pro Video Mode with manual controls for exposure, focus, and tone adjustments.
Audio recording is handled through a quad-microphone system with intelligent noise reduction presets. vivo also introduced a new Color Science system that uses a 5MP multi-spectral sensor with 12 color channels alongside ZEISS T* coating and Super Blue Glass to improve color accuracy, reduce flare, and better analyze ambient lighting conditions.
The device features a 6.82-inch 2K ZEISS Master Color LTPO AMOLED display with a 3168 × 1440 resolution, HDR10+ support, Ultra XDR, 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and DC-like dimming. The screen is protected by Armor Glass and uses a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with the Adreno 840 GPU. The device also includes vivo’s proprietary VS1+ Pro Imaging chip to assist with image processing tasks.
The X300 Ultra ships with 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro Quad-Channel RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6, which includes features such as Origin Island, drag-and-go interactions, and multitasking tools.
For thermals, vivo uses a large liquid cooling vapor chamber. The phone packs a 6600mAh battery with support for 90W ultra-fast wired charging, 40W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
The rear camera setup consists of:
- 200MP main camera with Sony LYTIA 901 sensor, f/1.85 aperture, and OIS
- 50MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.0 aperture
- 200MP Samsung HP0 ZEISS APO periscope telephoto camera with f/2.67 aperture, OIS, 3.7x optical zoom, telephoto macro support, ZEISS optics, and VS1+ imaging chip
For selfies, the phone includes a 50MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
