vivo has officially unveiled the Y600 Pro, and it is making a serious statement in the battery department. In just two generations, vivo has nearly doubled the battery size of its Y-series Pro lineup, with the new device packing a massive 10,200mAh silicon-carbon battery while still maintaining a relatively slim profile.
For comparison, the Y400 Pro launched last June with a 5,500mAh battery, while the Y500 Pro introduced in November stepped up to 7,000mAh. The Y600 Pro now pushes things even further, making both predecessors look modest by comparison.
The battery inside the Y600 Pro delivers 38Wh capacity and uses fourth-generation silicon anode technology with 15% silicon content and an energy density rated at 886Wh/L. Despite the significantly larger battery, vivo only increased the phone’s thickness by 0.4mm, bringing the device to 8.25mm thick.
According to vivo, the Y600 Pro can deliver over 24 hours of usage, including up to 47 hours of calls, 28 hours of video playback, or 16 hours of navigation. The company also claims the battery can retain 80% health after six years of regular use, equivalent to around 1,600 charging cycles, thanks to battery health management optimizations.
Charging remains quick as well, with 90W fast charging, the same speed seen since the Y400 Pro generation. The device also supports reverse wired charging, allowing it to function as a portable power bank.
Beyond battery life, the vivo Y600 Pro carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
Up front, the phone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also includes an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and a 32MP front-facing camera.
Under the hood, the Y600 Pro becomes the first smartphone powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset. The processor is largely similar to the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X variants, but uses a slightly less powerful Arm Mali-G610 MC2 GPU while offering improved power efficiency.
For cameras, the phone includes a 50MP main rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. Interestingly, the second rear module is not an additional camera, but an IR blaster.
On the software side, the device runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
The vivo Y600 Pro comes in Black, Blue, Gold, and Violet color options. Pricing starts at CNY 1,999 (around $292 / €250) for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the top-end 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at CNY 2,899 (around $424 / €361).
The smartphone is already available for order through vivo’s official online store in China, with deliveries beginning April 30.
