Want to hire a pro driver for your car? Grab DriveYourCar is now in PH!

Get your own driver with Grab’s new DriveYourCar service, now launched with fixed rates and no hidden charges.

Not everyone loves to drive all the time. Also, not everyone is confident or comfortable in the idea of driving, despite wanting to own a car.

To address these scenarios, Grab Philippines has introduced the DriveYourCar service, now in beta. This lets you hire a professional driver to drive your car.

Confused? The usual Grab service lets you hire a vehicle, with a driver of course, and drop you off somewhere, like a cab or moto-taxi. Grab’s new DriveYourCar, on the other hand, only hires a driver and you’re the one to provide a vehicle.

The current prices are:

  • 4 hours: ₱890
  • 8 hours: ₱1,490
  • 12 hours: ₱1,990

According to Grab, it will observe fixed rates without hidden charges and price surge for the new service. Also, every booking via DriveYourCar is insured with an accidental benefit of up to ₱500,000 and a vehicle coverage of up ₱50,000.

If you’re planning to use it, you can book a day early before your trip. Canceling two hours upon booking will lead to a ₱200 penalty. Gas, parking, and toll fees are not included in the rates.

To use DriveYourCar:

  1. Launch the Grab app
  2. Tap “Car”
  3. Tap “Hire a driver to drive your car”
  4. Choose options like schedule, duration, and location
  5. Confirm your booking

As of now, this is limited within Metro Manila.
