Some phones reported with green lines include the OnePlus 9 Pro, vivo X60, and Apple iPhone X. Meanwhile, Samsung models that have been reported with the same problem include Galaxy S20 Plus, Galaxy S21 Ultra, and Galaxy S21 FE.
Causes of Green Lines
The real cause remains elusive despite how long the issue has been around. No matter where you look, it’s all theories and only brands and manufacturers know the truth.
Among speculated reasons, the most popular is software update. Some users experienced the green lines after updating their device. Keep in mind that green lines are a sign of hardware defect, not software. So, there’s more to the story than just a patch bringing a bug or two.
That said, green lines are not found on smartphones with LCD panels. They are more common on other pieces of equipment though. It’s another mystery that needs solving.
