Why doesn’t the Infinix Note 13 series exist?

This May 30th, the Infinix Note 30 series will be made available in the Philippines.

This May 30th, the Infinix Note 30 series will be made available in the Philippines. But given that the Infinix Note 12 series is the most recent for now, why is there no Infinix Note 13? Why proceed directly to 30?

Although there are no official information on this matter, we can always make assumptions, right? People are often eager to guess whether their romantic interest feels the same way. Joke

First off, Infinix Mobile is a smartphone company based in Hong Kong. It was founded in 2013 by Transsion Holdings that are based in Shenzhen, China. A belief in China is that 13 is a lucky number, so why have they skipped it?

Previous Infinix Note phones were only incremental improvements, hence the step-by-step model number naming. To emphasize the dramatic increase in performance, Infinix skipped from the Note 12 to the Note 30. This is best illustrated by the Samsung Galaxy S series which is probably the inspiration for this nomenclature.

The Samsung Galaxy S10’s Snapdragon 855 is quite specialized, yet it is still a respectable processor today. The Samsung Galaxy S20 comes next; it has been improved with a Snapdragon 865 5G chip, which is a significant improvement compared to its predecessor.

Another example would be our subject itself, the Infinix Note 30 series. The Infinix Note 12 has a measly Helio G88 processor while its successor, the Infinix Note 30, will have a Dimensity 6080 which is incredibly better in every aspect as well as having 5G support. The Infinix Note 30 will also have a number of new and better features when compared to its predecessor.
