The fashionable design, AI perks, and bypass charging give the Infinix HOT 50i its unique flair.
The Infinix HOT 50i is literally an attractive new offering from the brand, thanks to its cube-like aesthetic. The phone’s sides are curved and smooth while the rear camera island is placed minimalistically with squarish corners.
The Infinix HOT 50i is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 and comes with 4 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM. The RAM is quite low considering the current landscape of mobile apps. You may experience some sluggishness when multitasking.
But the onboard storage is big enough to store numerous apps and media files. You can even expand it with a microSD card to store even more.
For entertainment, the handset has a large 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with 720p display resolution. What’s great about the display is the 120 Hz refresh rate support for smooth browsing and scrolling. Some games with 120 FPS support can take advantage of that refresh rate.
You can either plug in a 3.5-mm headphone or enjoy immersive audio with stereo speakers, which supports up to 300% with volume boost. A 5,000 mAh battery keeps the Infinix HOT 50i running for the whole day and when you need to juice it up, the device has a decent charging rate of 18 W.
For an SRP of 5K, the Infinix HOT 50i boasts those specs and these extras:
- Infinix AI to help you summarize text, answer your queries, and more.
- Folax to provide necessary assistance for specific tasks.
- 48MP primary rear camera with Portrait Beauty mode.
- LED flash that can illuminate up to five meters; useful during emergencies.
- 48 months of performance fluency
- Bypass charging
So, is Infinix HOT 50i really worth 5K? The processor is the dealbreaker on this device. It’s quite weak with a score less than 250K AnTuTu points. The LED flash, bypass charging, and AI are nice offerings though.
If you want 5G, check the itel P55 5G, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6080. The itel P55 is also worth considering and it’s powered by Unisoc T615. Although priced a bit higher, the TECNO POVA 6 Neo and itel RS4 are good alternatives too.
