POCO is preparing another budget 5G phone for India, and the POCO M8x 5G could bring a large 6.9-inch display, 6,000mAh battery, and a price below INR 20,000 (₱12,900*).
The company has started teasing the M8x 5G’s launch in India through Flipkart. While POCO has yet to reveal the phone’s complete specifications, the Flipkart teaser has confirmed the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset.
However, there is already conflicting information from a tipster, who claims the phone will instead use MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300.

The POCO M8x 5G is tipped to feature a 6.9-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. That gives the phone a large display while keeping its specifications focused on the budget segment.
The phone is also tipped to come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It is expected to run HyperOS 3 out of the box.
The chipset is currently the biggest question surrounding the M8x 5G.
POCO’s Flipkart teaser specifically names the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 as the processor powering the phone. However, tipster Yogesh Brar claims the handset will instead use MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300.
For now, the Flipkart teaser provides the clearest indication of the chipset, but the conflicting information means the final processor should still be treated as unconfirmed until POCO officially announces the phone.
The M8x 5G is also tipped to pack a 6,000mAh battery, paired with 33W fast charging.
The large battery could make the phone appealing to buyers who prioritize endurance, particularly at its rumored budget price.
