Xiaomi 12T Series announced with powerful Dimensity 8100-Ultra

Xiaomi may fade a little into obscurity here in the Philippines, but the innovation never stops here with their much-anticipated 12T Series

Xiaomi announced two flagship smartphones: the Xiaomi 12T with the Dimensity 8100-Ultra chipset, but the Pro version is even greater in terms of camera and processor, but the specs for the Pro version is still being kept in the shadows.

To give you a taste of what this mighty processor can do, the Dimensity 8100-Ultra is a quad-core, 5nm technology from TSMC that is composed of a quad-core 2.8GHz Cortex A78 and another quad-core 2.0GHz Cortex A55. In quick terms, it’s comparable to a Snapdragon 870 to 888 chipset in terms of performance.

Starting off with a bang, the Xiaomi 12T has a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED DotDisplay with 1220 x 2712 resolution and a bright 446ppi. Built on a scratch proof Corning Gorilla Glass 5 material, the Xiaomi 12T can withstand most rough surfaces.

We already mentioned the Mediatek Dimensity 8100-Ultra chipset, but the GPU, the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, is guaranteed to provide that much power and extra oomph to any games you’re planning to play.

Moving on the camera department, a solid 108MP f/1.7, OIS Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor with 83.6° FOV combined with 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro is an all-around reasonable choice for a flagship, but we aren’t that sure about the macro lens. A 20MP front camera is also equipped for those clear portrait shots.

You will get 8GB of RAM (LPDDR5) with the Xiaomi 12T with the option of 128GB or 256GB of internal storage that’s also UFS 3.1 for your speedy transferring needs.

Moving on the listening section, the Xiaomi 12T boasts dual speakers with Dolby Atmos capability, yet still no 3.5mm headphone jack. The latest Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, IR Blaster, an under-display fingerprint scanner.

It runs on Xiaomi’s own MIUI 13 on top of Android 12 OS right out of the box.
As for the battery, a standard 5,000mAh Li-Po is pretty decent, but the real king here is the 120W HyperCharge feature that can charge your smartphone really, really fast.

For the technical peeps out there, its exact dimensions adds up to 163.1mm x 75.9mm x 8.6mm, while a hefty 205 grams are to be expected when you purchase a Xiaomi 12T.

The Xiaomi 12T is available starting at around ₱34,921 (converted from 599 EUR), and are available in Black, Silver, and Blue. Will you buy this fantastic piece of tech?
