Motorola’s Moto Z spearheaded this DSLR-like attachment in 2015, partnering with Hasselblad to achieve it, and now Xiaomi’s taking a shot at the same idea
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is arriving on April 18, and the company says it will be a professional camera device, not just a flagship smartphone with mighty cameras.
To accentuate its importance and similarity to photography devices, Xiaomi plans to launch an accessory called a “67 mm filter adapter”.
The image was posted with a mysterious shadow, but when we increased the brightness, it was apparent the gadget would act like a case and have a green leather feel.
As Sony did in the past with the Xperia Pro series, we anticipate the case to include an actual E67 Leica 67 UVa II filter for the camera. The critical question is whether Xiaomi is also developing a specialized camera app that can elevate the cinematic experience.
The primary camera will have a 1″ IMX 989 sensor, and the other three will have Sony IMX 858 sensors. All four cameras will have 50 MP Sony sensors. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is also anticipated from Xiaomi to be included in the 13 Ultra’s cutting-edge hardware.
