Xiaomi has announced a slight delay in the unveiling of its highly anticipated 15 series. The series will now be officially introduced on October 29th at 7 PM China time, according to company CEO Lu Weibing.
Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro Leaked specs, renders:
While we wait for the official launch, leaked renders have provided us with a glimpse of what to expect. The Xiaomi 15 Pro is said to feature a sleek design with a thickness of 8.35mm and a weight of 213g, making it slightly lighter than its predecessor.
The display on the 15 Pro is expected to be a Micro Quad Curved panel, protected by second-generation Xiaomi Longjing Glass. Additionally, the device will showcase a unique ceramic lens Deco design on the camera island.
The standard Xiaomi 15 is rumored to have a 6.36-inch display with impressively thin bezels, potentially rivaling the upcoming Oppo Find X8 for the title of the slimmest bezels on a smartphone.
A First for Xiaomi: Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 15 series is the introduction of an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. This technology is generally faster and more accurate than traditional optical scanners, and it offers the advantage of working even in low-light conditions.
