Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit is scheduled for September 23, and by launching just days later, Xiaomi can instantly showcase its new phones powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite 2 (or 8 Elite Gen 5). This timing offers a competitive edge and signals a strategic change from previous years when the company’s flagships debuted in October.
What to Expect from the Xiaomi 16 Series
The rumors, which have been corroborated by multiple sources, point to a trio of devices at launch: the standard Xiaomi 16, the Xiaomi 16 Pro, and a new compact Xiaomi 16 Pro mini. While the Xiaomi 16 Ultra is expected later, the initial lineup promises significant upgrades.
