Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi 17 Max, the fourth member of the Xiaomi 17 lineup. Positioned below the more feature packed 17 Pro Max, the new model focuses on delivering a large display experience, a massive silicon carbon battery, and a high resolution 200 megapixel camera setup.
Xiaomi 17 Max Brings a Massive 8,000mAh Silicon Carbon Battery
The biggest highlight of the Xiaomi 17 Max is its huge 8,000mAh silicon carbon battery.
According to Xiaomi, the device can last for more than two days under normal usage conditions. The company also says the battery is rated to retain up to 80 percent of its original capacity even after 1,600 charging cycles, translating to more than four years of daily use.

- 50W wireless charging
- 22.5W reverse wired charging for other devices
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Up to 16GB RAM
Powering the Xiaomi 17 Max is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The phone is available with:
- Up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM
- Up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage
6.9-inch AMOLED Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate
Staying true to its “Max” branding, the device features a large 6.9 inch AMOLED display with:
- 2608 × 1200 resolution
- 120Hz refresh rate
- Up to 3,500 nits peak brightness
The display also includes:
- 32 megapixel selfie camera inside a punch hole cutout
- Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
200MP Leica Main Camera Leads the Setup
At the back, Xiaomi equips the 17 Max with a 200 megapixel Leica branded main camera using Samsung’s HP9 sensor.
The sensor offers:
- Up to 13.5EV dynamic range
- f/1.65 aperture
- Optical image stabilization
The rear camera system also includes:
- 50 megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and macro support
- 50 megapixel ultrawide camera with 17mm equivalent focal length
HyperOS 3 and IP69 Protection
The Xiaomi 17 Max runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top.
