Xiaomi 18 leak shows off new design as report hints at early India launch, no Ultra model.

A familiar design...

A leaked render has offered an early look at the upcoming Xiaomi 18, while a new report claims Xiaomi is making major changes to its flagship lineup. Instead of launching an Ultra model this year, the company is reportedly preparing three devices and could also bring them to India earlier than expected.

According to the report, the Xiaomi 18 series is still on track to debut in China this September. The lineup is said to include the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro, and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, with the leaked render giving a glimpse of what the standard Xiaomi 18 may look like ahead of its official unveiling.

The report adds that Xiaomi has scrapped development of the Xiaomi 18 Ultra. If accurate, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will become the brand’s highest-end flagship this generation, replacing the Ultra variant that has traditionally led the series.

The leak also points to an earlier-than-usual launch in India. The Xiaomi 18 series is reportedly scheduled to arrive in December, around three months ahead of Xiaomi’s typical flagship rollout in the country.

However, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may be harder to get, as the report claims it will be available in limited quantities in the Indian market.

As always, these details are based on leaks and early reports. Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm the lineup, launch schedule, or the leaked design, so the final products and plans could still change before the Xiaomi 18 series is announced.
