The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro launched in China with the distinction of being the first phone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. But whispers of a non-Pro variant have been swirling. Now, a Google Play Console listing adds fuel to the fire, hinting at a stripped-down Civi 4.
The listing reveals a Xiaomi device codenamed “chenfeng” (model number 24053PY09C) with the marketing name “Xiaomi Civi 4.” This differs from the Civi 4 Pro’s model number and, crucially, the image. Unlike the Pro’s pill-shaped dual selfie cutout, the Civi 4 appears to have a single punch-hole camera.
The listing also suggests some specs: a 1236 x 2750 resolution display (480ppi), 12GB of RAM, Android 14, and the Qualcomm SM8635 chip (indicating the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3). CPU and GPU details remain under wraps.
Civi 4: China Only or Global Debut?
The Pro variant’s rumored Indian release under the “Xiaomi 14 Civi” name suggests Xiaomi might have global ambitions for the Civi line. However, confirmation of the Civi 4’s availability outside China is still awaited.
Stay Tuned for Civi 4’s Fate
While the Play Console listing is promising, it’s not a definitive confirmation. We’ll need to wait for further reports to see if the Civi 4 joins its Pro sibling or remains a China-exclusive model.
