Rumors swirl around the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, with a leaked image suggesting a new title for the thinnest foldable phone (potentially surpassing the soon-to-launch Honor Magic V3).
The image, supposedly depicting the back of the Mix Fold 4 in a faux leather finish (other materials might be available),is labeled “work in progress,” hinting at potential changes before launch. Despite the label, it reveals a quad-camera system, a different layout compared to its predecessor.
Confirmed details, according to the leak’s source, include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a remarkable sub-10mm thin profile. The phone is also expected to boast a 50MP main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and a large 1/1.55″ sensor, alongside an IPx8 water resistance rating and a hefty 5,000mAh battery (or even larger).
Further leaks shed light on the camera system: a 60MP 2x telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP periscope telephoto sensor. Additionally, a recent certification suggests support for 67W wired charging.
Previous rumors pointed towards a Q3 2024 launch for both the Mix Fold 4 and the Mix Flip (Xiaomi’s first foray into clamshell foldables). With Q3 running from July 1st to September 30th, and whispers of a July launch date, anticipation is high. Let’s stay tuned to see if the Mix Fold 4 rewrites the record books for foldable phone thinness.
