At its latest product launch event, Xiaomi introduced a new compact tablet, the Xiaomi Pad Mini, alongside the larger REDMI Pad 2 Pro. While the REDMI Pad 2 Pro serves the large-screen market with its 12.1-inch display and a 12,000mAh battery, the Xiaomi Pad Mini is positioned as a powerful, no-compromise option for users seeking portability.

Key Specifications
The Xiaomi Pad Mini features an 8.8-inch 3K display with a 3008 x 1880 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports Dolby Vision and has a peak brightness of 700 nits. The tablet is powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor and comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 521GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Design and Features

The Pad Mini is constructed with a premium unibody metal design, weighing just 326g. It is equipped with a 7,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging and 18W wired reverse charging. Other features include dual USB-C ports, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and support for the Xiaomi Focus Pen. For optics, it houses a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing sensor.
Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi Pad Mini has a starting price of $429. In the Philippines, the 8GB/256GB variant is priced at ₱25,999, but it comes with an introductory promo price of ₱22,999 from September 26 to October 13 via Lazada and Shopee. Early buyers will also get a FREE Pad Case worth ₱999. The tablet will be offered in two color options and multiple RAM and storage configurations. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, which includes a suite of new AI features.
