Google Play Store is now capable of updating and installing three apps at the same time.
Got dozens of apps on your phone? Updating them must be a burden. Well, in the past yes, because Google just enabled a new feature on the Play Store.
It’s a big improvement all things considered as Android device users can finally download and install several app updates at once. Specifically, the Play Store can handle three simultaneous updates.
Previously, the Play Store could only update one app at a time, including installation. So, if 20 updates were queued, each one would be downloaded and installed individually. That’s painstakingly long to wait.
Now, three apps could be downloaded and installed at the same time! This is big for owners of powerful devices and have access to Wi-Fi 5 and 6. Apps get updated almost instantly.
That said, the speed of the update process depends on your internet connection and processor. The Play Store will only queue three updates simultaneously but the completion time still depends on your phone’s overall performance.
To get a taste of the improvement, launch the Play Store, go to My Apps and Games, and tap Update All. See multiple updates being downloaded and installed at the same time.
