ZTE Blade A75 5G: Exquisite Visual Meets 5G Superiority

Experience the best 5G network on mobile with the Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G.

Smart’s latest offer is here! Powered by an eight-core CPU and large battery, the ZTE Blade A75 5G is the most optimized 5G mobile experience you could get at this price point.

Unboxing

The collaboration between Smart and ZTE is undeniable by looking at the outer cover, decorated with the branding, SRP, specs, and image of the ZTE Blade A75 5G. A DTS logo is also printed at the bottom.

Remove the outer cover to see the main packaging and the large “A75” text. Besides the color change, nothing’s really different.

The ZTE Blade A75 5G is accompanied by a jelly case, tempered glass with punch hole cutout, charging brick, charging cable, card tray ejector pin, and some paperwork.

Check our unboxing video below.

Design

For its price, the ZTE Blade A75 5G is exquisite. The breathtaking rear camera design is its greatest visual appeal, augmented by the punch hole cutout at the front.

The rear camera island showcases many details at a closer look. You can find two sets of streaks that react to light in the inner part. Two ridges, on the other hand, are found on the outer part.

The main lens is at the center and is flanked by the secondary sensor and LED flash. Only a single camera is placed on the front.

While the display bezels aren’t narrow, they don’t look obstructive during full screen viewing. The chin is a bit thick though, so you may want to use gesture navigation to maximize the screen.

The volume rockers are on the right side above the stylized power key, while the SIM card tray is at the left side. The bottom of the phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, microphone, and USB port. The top part is clean and smooth.

Wait, where’s the speaker? It’s located on the uppermost part of the screen, the same area where the earpiece is.

Display

The display of the ZTE Blade A75 5G spans 6.6 inches. While it’s an IPS LCD panel, whites are excellent and AFK farming for hours won’t be scary compared to an OLED panel.

The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a max refresh rate of 120 Hz. This combination usually leads to a reasonable battery life with excellent smoothness, compared to 1080p at 120 Hz, especially if you’re on 5G most of the time.

Unfortunately, there’s no confirmed display protection for the ZTE Blade A75 5G. So, don’t forget to install the free tempered glass and use its phone case for safety reasons.

Overall, this phone’s display is impressive. You have 120 Hz smoothness, battery-friendly 720p resolution, and punch hole cutout, prettier than dewdrop. Combine these with the eye-catching rear design, you have a premium-looking phone in your hands.

Hardware

The ZTE Blade A75 5G is powered by the Unisoc T760 eight-core processor with a max clock speed of 2.2 GHz. It’s enough for day-to-day tasks, video streaming, and even gaming.

Managing your apps is the 4 GB onboard memory, expandable up to 4 GB for a total of 8 GB RAM. Store your files in the 128 GB onboard storage, which is UFS 3.1 for faster read and write speeds of apps and other content.

Remember that cool ring-like camera island? It features the 50 MP main sensor, paired with a depth camera to let you capture Bokeh shots. If you do a lot of video calls, the front-facing camera is an 8 MP sensor.

First time experiencing a fingerprint sensor on a phone? The ZTE Blade A75 5G sports a side-mounted fingerprint reader located on the power key.

Two other nifty extras are DTS Audio for better listening and NFC for contactless payment. It’s typically used to pay for services via terminals with your e-wallet. No need to pull out your cash and go through inconvenience.

The handset supports two SIM cards but with Smart’s configuration, a condition must be followed. If you use two SIM cards of different networks, your Smart/TNT SIM card should be placed in SIM slot 1 as the primary SIM card. This lets you use the SIM slot 2 for calls and texts of other networks.

That said, there’s no dedicated microSD card slot on the ZTE Blade A75 5G.

The hardware choice is reasonable for its price point. The processor can do light and moderate gaming, the memory is decent, the camera setup is okay for most cases, and the two SIM cards give you network versatility.

Software

Running the show on the ZTE Blade A75 5G is Android 13 that improves user privacy on apps and media. Apps must now ask users first before they can send notifications.

Another is the native Bluetooth LE audio support for wireless connectivity. The Low Complexity Communications Codec is now native in Android 13 and it boosts audio quality with lower power consumption than the previous generation.

Speaking of BLE, quickly pair up your wireless earphones or earbuds with the Fast Pair feature. Your phone will notify you of a potential pairing so you don’t have to add it manually.

Although not really behind the OS cycle, getting Android 14 out of the box is much better considering the enhancements. If Smart and ZTE plan to support two years of major upgrades and three of security updates, then starting Android 13 is fine.

Battery

Meeting your 5G demands is the 5,000 mAh battery. This supports 10 W of charging speed.

Even though the ZTE Blade A75 5G is an affordable 5G phone, it’s packed with many battery features that are handy for different situations. Here are some of them:

Battery FeaturesDescription
Power Saving ModesChoose between Power Saver and Ultra Power Saver to conserve remaining battery life.
Adaptive 5GAutomatically switches to 5G based on the usage scenario.
Dark ModeEnable this to save power.
Scenario AI-optimizationOptimizes apps when not in use.
Sleep ModeLets the system control startup behavior and background apps to save power during long standby periods.

You can set parameters for Power Saver mode, such as automatic trigger based on battery percentage, disconnect 5G connectivity, restrict apps from accessing network, and reduce refresh rate.

Takeaway

As an exclusive offer from Smart, the ZTE Blade A75 5G boasts an optimized 5G experience with Smart/TNT 5G SIM cards without breaking the bank. If you’re at home and using PLDT Fiber plans or Smart Bro Home Wi-Fi, enjoy fast Wi-Fi browsing with this phone thanks to its Wi-Fi 5 support.

Whether gaming or watching video online, be immersed with that 120 Hz refresh rate. See notifications and get straight to them conveniently with the interactive capsule.

However, we hoped for a slightly faster charging rate or a hybrid card slot for storage expansion. If these aren’t a big deal, the ZTE Blade A75 5G is definitely a great value-for-money 5G solution for those always on the move.

The ZTE Blade A75 5G is currently priced at PHP 5,450, available in Black Diamond colorway at Smart official physical stores nationwide and Smart online store.
