Exynos 2400 keeping up with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, tests revealed

Exynos-powered Galaxy S24 units were seen with scores very close to Qualcomm’s new chipset.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series is gaining attention because of its interesting new approaches, including a titanium frame and an Exynos chipset. While nothing will stop that chipset from being launched, China and the US will still get the Snapdragon variant.

But can the Exynos 2400 match the power of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3? Possibly based on what was unveiled on Geekbench.

Popular tipster Ice Universe showed everyone on Twitter how well Exynos 2400 fared against the upcoming flagship Snapdragon.

The tested smartphone on Geekbench 6.2.0 has the model ID Samsung SM-S926B, powered by Exynos 2400. Its single-core score is 2067 while its multi-core score is 6520.

Those figures are compared to the Samsung SM-S928U, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It scored 2234 on single-core and 6807 on multi-core.

Although the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is ahead, the differences are not that big, indicating that Exynos 2400 is holding its own against the next-gen Qualcomm chipset.

However, the values cannot determine if Exynos 2400 has excellent stability. We still need to know how much heat that chipset will generate over long periods of intense activity.

So, for now, the test results are looking good on paper. In the meantime, check out the specs of Galaxy S24 leaked on Geekbench.
