ASUS has unveiled a special edition of the ROG Phone 6 inspired by the character “Yu Zhong” from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
This unique edition, known as the ROG Phone 6 Yu Zhong MLBB-themed version, is a celebration of ASUS’s two-year partnership with MOONTON Games. Notably, ROG Phones served as the official gaming devices for the MSC 2023 Tournament.
Additionally, ROG is set to be the official sponsor for the upcoming MLBB M5 World Championship 2023. The Yu Zhong ROG Phone 6 comes as a complete package, including a specially designed Yuzhong-themed devil case, an MLBB badge holder, a screen-cleaning cloth, and an AeroActive Cooler 6.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Yu Zhong is a formidable hero in Mobile Legends, belonging to the fighter class. He excels in sustaining damage and controlling the battlefield, with the ability to transform into a dragon for added power and disruption of enemy backlines.
On the hardware front, the ROG Phone 6 boasts a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate, powered by the Snapdragon 8+ G1 8-core chip. It offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
The ROG Phone 6D features similar display specifications but stands out with a higher peak brightness of 830 nits. It utilizes a 4nm 3.35GHz MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, and offers similar RAM and storage options.
Both of these gaming phones incorporate advanced cooling systems to prevent overheating during intense gaming sessions. The AeroActive cooler contributes additional cooling support to maintain optimal performance.
Moreover, they feature AirTrigger 6, which enhances control in Mobile Legends and shooting games, providing a competitive edge for players.
The starting price for the ROG Phone 6 Yu-Zhong is RM2,299 (approximately PHP 27.6K) in Malaysia, with the availability confirmed in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia starting on October 25. Pricing details for the Philippines are yet to be disclosed, and as of now, the ROG Phone 6 Yu Zhong is exclusively listed on the Malaysia website.
