Dimensity 9300 + Immortalis-G720 for console-like gaming experience

Play AAA titles on Dimensity 9300 phones and experience a new whole level of gaming on-the-go.

The number of mobile games has been on the rise and will continue to do so for more years. Coupled with more powerful chipsets, you can expect to play AAA titles on smartphones. But advanced graphics engines and AI will surely bring console-like gaming experience to the palm of your hands.

Dimensity 9300 is certainly aiming for the same goal. At the recent MediaTek Executive Summit, the Immortalis-G720 was highlighted for its performance and console-level support. This mobile GPU boasts 12 cores and supports ray tracing.

MediaTek claims that Immortalis-G720 has 46% better ray tracing, 2x multi-sampling anti-aliasing support, and global illuminating effects, which are meant for console-level experience.

The presentation at the Summit showed that Dimensity 9300 can peak at 344 FPS on Manhattan 3.1 and 99 FPS on Aztec high tier mode. Those are greater than the 279 FPS on Manhattan 3.1 and 96 FPS on Aztec HT mode of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. These two are a part of GFXBench 5 to test graphics and gaming performance.

Genshin Impact was featured during the Summit to showcase the improvements of Dimensity 9300 over its predecessor. The latest chipset has 20% lower power consumption, on average, within 30 minutes of gameplay at 60 FPS at extremely high image quality.

Dimensity 9300 is also observed with lower than 11.5 seconds login speed and 25% more transition speed than Dimensity 9200.

However, those aren’t the deal breakers. MediaTek said that Dimensity 9300 is the world’s first  mobile hardware with ray tracing support at 60 FPS. This was demoed on Arena Breakout.

To bring console-level gaming, the Immortalis-G720 comes with Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen System, Vulkan Ray Query, and Shader Model 5 for very realistic lighting and shadows.

Dimensity 9300 has a four-nanometer process with eight cores having the All-Big-Core architecture. Immortalis-G720 mobile GPU has 12 cores and is the second-generation mobile hardware ray tracing. They debuted on the vivo x100 series.
