Philippines ranks ?6th globally in Ookla’s Q4 2023 data for mobile internet speeds

Into December 2023, the statistics reflect a slight upward trajectory, with median country speeds reaching 28.12 Mbps for mobile and a robust 92.92 Mbps for fixed broadband. In Q4 of 2023, Ookla once again commends Smart for securing its position as the fastest mobile operator in the Philippines. Smart excelled with a remarkable median download speed of 37.64 Mbps, outpacing its competitors. Globe claimed the second spot with 26.44 Mbps, followed by DITO at 19.74 Mbps.

Despite an improvement in internet speed within the country, the drop in ranking can be attributed to the substantial advancements in the mobile internet speeds of other nations.
