Nothing Phone 2(a) authentic renders leaked before March 5 launch?

A reliable source recently shared leaked renders, only to later confirm their inaccuracy. Now, once again, veteran leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, along with SmartPrix, has presented what they believe are authentic renders of the Nothing Phone 2a.

The newly unveiled images showcase a distinctive Dark Gray model, revealing a departure from the previously circulated renders. A notable modification is the adoption of a center-aligned rear camera system, featuring two sensors positioned side by side. This stands in contrast to the earlier render, which depicted vertically stacked rear cameras in the top-left corner, reminiscent of older iPhone models.

Examining the back of the phone, observers can identify at least three LED lights, suggesting the continuation of the trademark Glyph lighting setup. This reassures those concerned about the potential absence of this distinctive Nothing feature on the budget-friendly phone.

Other design elements include flat edges, a center-aligned punch-hole cutout, volume keys on the left-hand edge, and a power button on the right-hand edge. The phone is reported to have dimensions measuring 162.2 x 76.5 x 8.7mm.

SmartPrix also asserts that the phone will be powered by a Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, distinguishing it from the standard Dimensity 7200 SoC. Noteworthy specifications mentioned include dual 50MP rear cameras (S5KG9 main sensor and JN1 ultrawide sensor), a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging. However, it’s essential to approach these claims with caution, as Hemmerstoffer typically refrains from providing specs to media partners.
