Several Realme Phones Will Not Get UI Support Yet

In an official blog post, realme revealed that they will be releasing an early access version of the realme UI 3.0.

Being an early-access version, the company said the realme UI 3.0 has its own pros and cons. Kapag inupdate mo ang realme phone to the latest UI, it might experience lag and bugs.

The company said that some phones like the realme 7 are already compatible with the realme UI 3.0, however, they also mentioned that it will only be distributed to limited users. It’s a blessing in disguise if you didn’t get the update, but that would mean missing out on new key features.

Some users have reported that they haven’t received the updates yet. These phones include the new Narzo units, the realme 8 series, and some of the realme X devices. However, realme also revealed in its previous posts that some of the realme 8 units already have been given the OTA updates.

The realme UI 3.0 update has been officially rolled out yesterday, May 27, but it also involves a prior application. Only 1000 users are eligible for the update. If anything, the update is an A/B test to check whether realme users are satisfied with the new look or not.

Application for the update will require users to input a valid email address in case the rollout will generate some performance issues on the device.

The update will require 10GB of free space, so the users should back up their files, and make sure it’s not rooted. The realme UI 3.0 will be the RMX3491_11.A.13 / RMX3491_11.A.14 version. A battery percentage of at least 60% is required for the update to be installed.

We recommend waiting for a more secure version first, but if you want to try the new features, it will have its fair share of disadvantages.
