POCO C40 Specs Reveal Lesser-Known SoC Brand

POCO C40 was just revealed a few hours ago, specifically on the POCO Vietnam website. The device comes with a set of attractive features that place it right in the budget section. It’s also the first global device from POCO to use a lesser-known SoC brand.

The POCO C40 will be using a JLQ JR510, made by Chinese company JLQ which makes SoCs for budget-level phones. The phone will be available in two configurations: 4GB|64GB or 6GB|128GB. Most POCO fans expected the C40 to run on Snapdragon 680, however, Xiaomi’s subbrand went in an unexpected direction

POCO C40 will also be using an IPS LCD screen with a 6.71” HD+ resolution. A screen big needs a bigger battery: the POCO C40 will have a 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. According to XiaomiUI.net, the phone will have a triple camera setup with 50MP for the main camera. The cameras will also be able to record at 1080p@30fps.

There’s no information yet on whether this information is final as other phone catalog websites list the products as having a dual-camera setup, not triple. The front camera can capture images with the 5MP sensor. Video recording capability is the same as the rear camera at 1080p@30fps.

Design-wise, the POCO C40 continues its theme of having a large camera array with a rectangular backdrop at the rear panel of the phone. The device will be available in black, blue, and green.

The POCO C40 doesn’t have official pricing yet, so stay tuned for more updates.
