A new ROG phone is debuting this January and it sports a triple-rear camera setup and up to 165 Hz refresh rate.
The next ROG phone is coming out very soon but before that happens, high-resolution renders of this upcoming smartphone surfaced.
Based on these renders, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro has curved edges and very thin bezels; expected from a powerful mobile gaming device. The selfie camera appears in a punch hole though.
The rear cameras are contained in a camera bump having a square design with a small cutout at the edge. The bump houses three camera sensors and the LED flash.
A diagonal streak separates the back of the phone to add accent and highlight the camera bump and the ROG logo. Exploring the sides reveals the power key and volume rockers at the right side and a USB-C port at the left.
At the top is the lone microphone while the bottom houses the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, another USB-C port, and what appears to be a speaker grille.
In terms of specifications, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro is expected to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The smartphone will likely have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with HDR10 support and up to 165 Hz refresh rate.
The main camera is the Sony IMX890, supported by the 13 MP ultrawide sensor and 32 MP sensor with 3x optical zoom. The selfie camera is a 32 MP sensor designed for selfies and live streaming.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro is launching on January 16 in China.
