Asus Zenfone 9: Small In Size, Big In Specs!

Don’t let its 5.9 inch display fool you, Asus is bringing back the S game with its newest flagship offering…

Asus, universally known for its Republic of Gamers line has released a flagship phone today in the form of the Zenfone 9. Asus thought, now is the time to shift focus to its audience that is seeking some high-end goodness, with the gamers taking a backseat for a bit.

Starting off with a 5.9 inch display FHD+ AMOLED with Gorilla Glass Victus and a 120Hz refresh rate, the display may seem a lil’ smaller by today standards, but as this unit suggest, it may be the right time to cut some edges and resort to the zen way of life, the future zen.

When Asus said that this a flagship phone, they really meant it, as this phone packs a punch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 +, the latest chipset from Qualcomm.

Now for the fun part: ain’t no flagship phone without flagship-like camera, right? Well, the Asus Zenfone 9 got you covered: the Zenfone 9’s 50MP wide Sony IMX766 with 6 axis gimbal stabilization plus 12MP ultrawide Sony IMX363 for its rear, and a 12MP front Sony IMX663 (dual PDAF) for the front camera is no short of a game changer, and will please consumers unlike any other.

On the battery department, the 4300mAh + 30W fast charging setup is fairly impressive for the size, but keep in mind, that there are more flagship phones out there, for example, some of current iPhone models don’t have that battery capacity close to the Zenfone 9, so that’s another reason to get one.

Other features that Asus relayed on us includes a Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. The Asus Zenfone 9’s IP68 rating makes sure that there are no *sad smartphone user noises* when you accidentally drop your phone in any liquid anytime sooner. The Zenfone 9’s 165g weight feels like a charm, with a USB-C 3.0, 3.5mm audio jack (very rare for a flagship phone), a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a couple of stereo speakers will surely keep you invested. The Zenfone 9 runs on ZenUI (Android 12), Asus’s custom software with 2 year OS-Upgrades and 3 yrs security update so it’s right at the future proof ballpark club, baby. It’s available in four colors: Black, Blue, Red, and Silver.

For its price, you can get one now for:

8+128GB: €799 (Php45.3k)
