HUAWEI Nova 12 Pro and Ultra leaked to have 50MP variable aperture cam and 60MP selfie

Huawei’s renowned mid-range smartphone series, the Huawei Nova, is poised for an exciting update with the upcoming Huawei Nova 12 series. Set to launch officially on December 26, this series will feature the Huawei Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra, with the company gradually unveiling their specifications. Today, reputable tipster Digital Chat Station shared key insights into the camera sensors of these anticipated devices.

Revealing a significant upgrade, the Huawei Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra will boast a formidable 50 MP main camera equipped with a variable f/1.4-4.0 aperture. This camera module is notably shared with other flagship Huawei smartphones like the Nova 11 Ultra, the P60 Pro, and the Huawei Mate 60 series. While maintaining consistency with previous models, the leak suggests that there won’t be a periscope shooter, indicating a level of familiarity in terms of camera performance.

Elevating the selfie experience, the Nova 12 Pro and Ultra will feature a dual-camera setup on the front. This setup comprises a main 60 MP camera and an 8 MP secondary camera. Notably, the second shooter is reported to be a 2x telephoto camera, distinguishing it from its predecessors. Renowned for its powerful selfie cameras, the Huawei Nova series continues this tradition with the upcoming models. Both devices will also sport 1.5K displays, a Chinese marketing term denoting a 1220p resolution.

Beyond the camera and display enhancements, further details about these smartphones remain undisclosed. With the launch date approaching, anticipation is building, and Huawei is expected to release more teasers to generate excitement. The Nova series, known for its focus on impressive selfie capabilities, is poised to uphold and even surpass this tradition with the introduction of the Nova 12 series.
