With revolutionary materials and refreshed design, the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition received the IF Design Award 2023, the industry’s recognition of Infinix NOTE series’ design innovation.
Thus, we’ll give you a tour and insights into the enormous package prepared by Infinix and BMW Designworks.
Unboxing
The box of the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition is huge. The moment you see it, you know it has a very special smartphone.
At a glance, nothing seems to stand out except for the ribbon at the end that has the iconic BMW colors. Pull it and you’ll get the real box that’s keeping the Infinix handset. Use the same ribbon to lift the box’s cover and to see three smaller boxes.
Obviously, the smartphone’s box is at the left and it’s flanked by the wireless earbuds and wireless charger.
Wireless Earbuds
The Infinix XE27 wireless earbuds come in a case with a deep shade of blue. The buds themselves have the same color but the interior of the charging case is colored yellow.
When you open the case, a blue light is emitted but it stops after a while. At the back is the text “Designed by Infinix” and at the bottom is the charging port. The case is quite heavy and appears to be sturdy.
Infinix included a dedicated USB-C charging cable for the wireless earbuds’ case. If you want to change the rubber caps, there are some included.
Wireless Charger
Another device added to the package is a 15w wireless charger. The charger looks simple at first but in the middle of the large texts are two BMW tri-color icons in-between.
If you have trouble lifting the charging pod up, there’s an indentation where you can insert the tip of your finger. This makes sure you don’t need to brute force the device out of its box.

Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition
Compared to the original model, the box of Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition is BMW-inspired. The unit will welcome you after the cover is lifted, and below it is a simple black separator.
Deep into the box is where the charging brick, charging cable, and ejector pin are found. But Infinix added some freebies in a hard clear case, which is ready for wireless charging, and a tempered glass with a mobile phone cleaner.
As an exclusive, the phone’s box features a BMW-inspired card with a QR code.
Design
The Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition looks totally different from the original model, thanks to its new design elements. The front side has the similar vibe as the original model but once you turn it over, the leather material will catch your breath.
Don’t assume that it’s just faux leather because this is the real thing. In collaboration with BMW Designworks, the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition is visually overhauled to have the racing elements to represent speed, performance, and passion.
The layout of front and back sides of Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition is exactly the same as the original. However, the accent, extra elements, and new materials make this version a league of its own.
You’ll see the same four camera holes at the back but their rings are emphasized by a reddish tint. Under the cameras writes “108MP/ASPH” followed by “WIRELESS CHARGING” below it.
The camera island is no longer a loner because another cutout fills the rest. What’s special about this cutout is the RGB lights called 3D Lighting Leather technology. The lights glow when the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition interacts with the user or an app.
The metal frame around the smartphone is also reddish and even shines when you view at different angles.
First Impressions
Infinix really wants you to look and feel this device nonstop. The Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition is quite heavy, likely from the leather back, but you can’t deny the charm and touch of this device.
The glowing frame is an eye-catcher for it shines whenever light touches it. But it’s a bit slippery so use the clear case for that extra grip.
The RGB light notification is definitely cool as it brings back a classic that has been omitted from many devices. It’s also customizable by going to the Settings menu.
But we hoped for more from this RGB. Infinix should have let the user modify how long the lights should appear. Perhaps the company would send a patch for this.
With a true leather design and RGB lights at the back, you must use clear cases. This is recommended because other colors will nullify the visuals of this premium-looking smartphone.
On the outside, BMW Designworks infused the racer’s spirit and passion into this device. On the inside, Infinix installed a blazing fast processor that can accomplish whatever task is thrown at it. Together, they reimagined what speed and performance should look like, and that’s the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP Racing Edition.
