Leaked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Prototype Shatters Records with Over 2 Million AnTuTu Benchmark Score!

Qualcomm is gearing up to introduce its latest flagship chip this month, and some early benchmark results have been shared by insiders.

The leaked prototype of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 achieved an impressive score of 2 million on AnTuTu! According to sources like Digital Chat Station and Revegnus, this alleged Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip boasts a substantial 40 percent increase in GPU performance compared to its predecessor. Leaksters have reported that the new chip independently scored 840,000 points in GPU performance, as opposed to the SD8G2, which scored 600,000.

On the CPU front, it is said to have achieved a 15.7 percent improvement in performance, with a score of 440,000 points in the CPU test. It’s important to note that these tests were conducted using a new, faster “prototype” LPDDR5T RAM, and there is speculation that the SD8G3 may perform slightly slower when using the commercially available LPDDR5X.

It’s worth mentioning that both Digital Chat Station and Revegnus did not provide additional details such as scores for memory and user experience.

In a related report, an earlier screenshot from leaker @NonxCirno indicated that the SD8G3 achieved around 1.77 million in scores, but this information was from June 2023 and likely represents an early stage of development.

In any case, the upcoming chip is rumored to feature a three-cluster design consisting of 1x Cortex X4 super core, 5x Cortex A720, 2x Cortex A520 small cores, and a new Adreno GPU.

It’s essential to remember that the information shared here is based on leaks and not officially confirmed. With the official launch just around the corner, we should all await the official announcement.

This processor is expected to debut in smartphones like the vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, Redmi K70, OnePlus 12, and realme GT5.
